Little Things That Make Me Happy pt. 5

The atmosphere of a coffee shop, the aroma as soon as you step foot inside, the people... Very comforting. Very inviting. Ever since my husband started working as a barista in college, I've spent a lot of well-loved time, sitting in coffeeshops working on projects, meeting wonderful people, and sipping on delicious chia teas and lattes. Now, I'm not talking the Starbucks coffeeshops (although they can be nice), I'm talking the small business, locally ran, organic and authentic coffee shops with all the character in the world. My favorite thing is mapping out coffeehouses when I travel so I can keep a running tally of ones I've visited around the world. One of my many dreams is to open one of my own someday, so I love soaking in all the inspiration I can get.

Saturday mornings
Who doesn't love Saturday mornings? Unless you have to work. But even then, I'm sure you can find the silver lining quite easily. Saturday mornings are typically my "productive" time of the weekend... I like waking up before everyone else, fixing up some coffee in the Chemex, and getting some work done. Except for the occasional mornings that I sleep in, of course. I also like to spend Saturday mornings writing, whether it be for my blog or personal use. There was a period of time when I would wake up early every Saturday and Sunday morning around 7 and drink coffee and draw. It was so relaxing and pleasing. Ah, I love Saturday mornings.

Early 2000's Romcoms
I'm telling you, romantic comedies from the early 2000's are some of the best movies out there. Think: Bridget Jones Diary, Under the Tuscan Sun, The Wedding Planner, Maid in Manhattan, Sweet Home Alabama, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Along Came Polly, 13 Going on 30, Just Like Heaven, Monster in Law, The Holiday, Bride Wars, The Proposal, Leap Year, etc. Remember any of these? THEY ARE SO GOOD. And there are so many more that I didn't list. Watching these movies makes me feel so darn good inside.
