Lucky thrifts
There have been countless times where I've stumbled upon something in a thrift or vintage store where it was almost like a "right place at the right time" sort of deal. Over time I've been trying to consume less and save my money,  but let me tell you, there's nothing quite like finding lucky treasures at the thrift store. To me, it's so neat buying secondhand things because those items could be dating back all the way from the 50's - present, and it's almost like a one-of-a-kind item because no one else will have it.

I've been to the ocean a handful of times, and I'm unsure of how to perfectly describe the feeling of standing along the shore, but it's quite magical. I love listening to the ocean waves creep up onto the beach, and looking out at the vast expanse. There's just something about standing next to the ocean, this ginormous body of water, and feeling so utterly small. And that leads me to the next one...

A few years ago, I took a trip to Arizona and spent the week exploring the mountains surrounding Phoenix with family. There was one day in particular that I'll never forget: we decided to go off trail and actually walk up the mountainside. This was probably not the safest of choices, but alas, I'm still here to tell the tale. Just like the seaside, standing on the side of a mountain can really put things into perspective. You realize how small you are in the large world. It's silent and peaceful, and the feeling you get from just gazing off into the distance from your tiny little space where you stand, surrounded by other cliffs and mountains, is kinda breath-taking and soul-filling. And I kinda miss it. A lot.
