French Green Clay + Lavender Face Mask

Recently, I made a trip to a local health store, Fresh Thyme, and picked up some French Green Clay. I've read quite a bit about it on different websites and decided to give it a try. While very similar to bentonite clay, it's more meant for healing. It contains decomposed plant matter and volcanic ash, and is rich in many important mineral oxides, calcium, magnesium, selenium, copper, potassium, and etc. It's great because it absorbs all the junk in the skin. Adding lavender to the mask is great because it also heals and soothes skin.

Ingredients:
1 cup of filtered water

Step 1: Mix water and lavender buds together in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
Step 2: Allow mixture to steep for about 30 minutes and strain water from lavender afterwards.
Step 3: In a small bowl, mix the lavender with with clay and water until smooth.

If you plan to store it for later use, pour the mixture into 8 ounce glass jar and seal with a lid. Store it this way to prevent drying out.
